Deadlines Again

Why is it there is always something to do. Another day goes by and nothing is accomplished. Trying my hardest to get things out and having trouble with xy and z. Oh well, a few more hours and I'll see if it is accomplished. If not I am one step closer to fulfilling
the next deadline.

Mannequins on the mind

Don't ask me why, they can be creepy at times. Thinking about the deconstructing of pieces and parts. Pieces and Parts - his could be the new name?

New name????

I've been racking the ol' brain for a new blog nAme but the origin ideas have been used by others, damn. While I continue my search for a new blog name I will leave you with a little visual pleasure. The is Jen Craun's work. She is a fellow Kent State alum and active printmaker/teacher in the Cleveland area. We had the recent pleasure of reconnecting.

Bird Print with no Bird-well actually there were two of them but...

Alright, this is cool. In so many works today, the image of the a bird or birds is all over the place. These images below were created by two artists using "inked' birds and the traces of their fight were left behind on paper. The work was created for zZz's new album titled Running with the Beast. Can't you feel the tension in these prints. By the way I do not like the idea of cock fighting.

Return from Cleveland

Cold, gray and snowing- that's the midwest and it was in full force this past week. Nice to get home and see the sun and enjoy warmer temps. A few weeks ago I signed up for a January monotype workshop at Aurobora Press I am hoping to expand my monotype phobia and get some new work done.

Progress

I have actually spent at least an hour a day completing some art work. Thanks to Truckee's Brickeltown First Friday crew for the Pop Culture show, I put a piece in. The activity at the First Fridays will continue every Friday next month for the holidays. Support your local businesses and artists.
