Every time I read about some artist selling artwork, turns out they're English. Earlier last month Damien Hirst auctioned his work off and made 193 million pounds. I think that estimate is correct. I am sure between early September and now a few more English artists have sold some stuff and yesterday I read that Lucian Freud's drawing of Francis Bacon (both English) sold for 5.4 million pounds. That is a great amount of money them there English have made. Hats off to ya.
